How PrepDine Works

Pickup Only — No Delivery

PrepDine is a self-pickup service. There is no delivery. You order from your phone and collect your food in person at the stall inside the campus food court. This is by design — the goal is to eliminate the queue at the counter, not to move the food to you.

How to Order, Step by Step

  1. Open the app and browse. Sign in to PrepDine at prepdine.com or the PrepDine app. You will see all open stalls at your campus. Tap any stall to view its live menu with current availability and prices.
  2. Add items to your cart. Tap the items you want. Your cart is single-stall per order — to order from a second stall, complete the first order first. Your cart has a limit on the total number of items and on how many of any single item you can add. The app shows the limit when you reach it.
  3. Choose a pickup slot. Select a pickup window from the available slots shown for that stall. Slots fill up — earlier windows may already be full during peak hours. The earliest available slot is pre-selected for you. You can also type a time directly and the app will snap to the nearest available slot.
  4. Request and wait for acceptance. Tap "Request Order." The stall sees your order immediately and has 90 seconds to accept it. If accepted, you proceed to payment. If the stall does not respond within 90 seconds, the request closes automatically and nothing is charged.
  5. Pay. After acceptance you are taken to the payment screen. The total shown is your food price plus the platform fee. Pay via UPI. Once payment is confirmed, your order is locked in and preparation begins.
  6. Track your order. After paying, you can watch your order move through: Preparing → Ready. When your order is ready, the app alerts you with a full-screen notification and a sound.
  7. Pick up your food. Walk to the stall. Show the pickup code or QR from your order screen to the counter. The 4-digit code also works offline — it is cached on your phone.

Pickup Slots

Pickup slots are windows during the stall's opening hours; the app shows the actual times available. Each slot has a limited capacity set by the stall. When a slot is full, it is shown as unavailable. "ASAP" selects the earliest open slot automatically.
